Why is money a taboo subject? Why do we so often miss the blessing and provision of God? The simple truth is that we don't understand the spiritual dynamics of giving, we leave ourselves outside the economy of the Kingdom. We experience, poverty, lack and scarcity when we are promised abundance and blessing.
When we encourage each other we instill courage into hearts and minds. When we are gifted with the spiritual gift of encouragement we instill courage to stand firm, carry on the ministry, forge ahead in mission, courageously stand for Christ. Paul had his Barnabas, every leader needs an encourager. Is that you?
Darren tackles the subject of mercy today, not an easy topic as Darren admits himself but one we need to grasp. God's mercy is given to those who don't deserve it, that is all of us. The spiritual gift of mercy is given to enable us to love and support those who the world and even others in the church think don't deserve it. Mercy as we shall find always comes at a cost.
Hospitality is nothing more or nothing less than God's life giving grace. He has always wanted us home, he has always sought to invite us into his presence, he is the hospitable God.
Firstly I need to apologize to all who were expecting a full 10am service, we had hoped to provide that but had some technical issues with the sound. We have worked hard to get the sermon to a level where we can post it but you'll still notice some interference. I hope that is not too distracting. We are learning and hopefully will have the problems solved very soon.
Please join Darren as he speaks about gift of helps and it's absolutely crucial role in a healthy growing Church.
Today Darren starts a new series called gift wrapped. Its the first in a series of series that he will preach throughout this year unpacking the spiritual gifts that have been given to everyone who is alive in Christ.
